August 15, 2017
3 months old

Milestones
recording all the firsts
  • Sweden has the cutest little squeals and she giggles, especially when her brothers are being silly. The first time she giggled real big was when her brothers were playing with a balloon over her head.
  • Sweden went on her first road trip to Fort Worth, Texas where she  went to the stockyards and rodeo,Water Wall Park and her first Texas Rangers Baseball game.
  • She has discovered toys and is putting everything in her mouth.

some of Sweden's
Favorite Things
  • Attention. She loves it when anyone will look her in the eyes and play with her.
  • Being held. She will stop crying immediately when she is in mommy's or anyone's arms.
  • Her brothers. Finn likes to tell her jokes (that make no sense at all) and he'll laugh real big making her laugh as well. Fox loves to tickle and play peek a boo with her. He treats her like his little pet. He is wants to be around her all the time and often wakes her up or runs to her when she is crying. It is so sweet watching her brothers love on her.
  • Sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed.

some of Swedcn's
Not so Favorite Things
  • When she isn't being held.
  • Riding in her carseat... she really does cry whaaa whaa wha all the way home.

About
Sweden
  • Sweden is really as sweet as can be... She is smiley and cuddly and makes the sweetest little sounds. We have fallen in love with her more and more each day as she grows and interacts with us.

Fox begs for Sweden to lay next to him on his pillow. He wants to hold her and play with her all the time. We say that he treats her like his little pet; it's cute and a little annoying at the same time. Mommy keeps a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't crush her with his hugs or try to feed her anything.

Swedie, already acting silly with her brother.

Cowtown fun

We spent a few days in good ol' Cowtown, Fort Worth, Texas! We used to live there, so we loved seeing our favorite sites, eating at our favorite spots and seeing some of our favorite people.

First stop... the Fort Worth Stockyards for a fun Pawnee Bill Rodeo show that the kids absolutely loved. Afterwards a hearty steak and potato dinner at H3.

We stayed at the Marriott, just outside the awesome, Water Wall Park.

We caught a Texas Rangers Baseball game. The first major league baseball game for Fox and Sweden.

We attended church at the 8th ward where we used to attend years ago. It was so fun to see such friendly faces and realize we hadn't been forgotten. The 8th ward will always have a place in our heart.

Sometimes a good meal should be eaten shirtless ;)

Sweden at Two Months

July 15, 2017
Two Months old
June 18th. Her first Sunday at church.
Milestones
recording all the firsts
  • Sweden holds her head up really well and doesn't seem to mind tummy time, as long as it doesn't last too long because she much rather be held.
  • Sweden weighed in at 9lb14oz at her 6 week check-up! She is a good eater and we just love her chubby cheeks.
  • Sweden loves to smile and sometimes she'll stare at her mama and once there is eye contact she'll smile so sweetly
  • Finn and Fox love their little sister and want to hold, kiss and play with her. She is at times entertained by them and other times she wants her space. She is lucky to have such loving brothers.
  • Sweden met both sets of grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa Capson were there when she was born. Nana and PopPop Snarr arrived around two weeks for a visit.
  • Sweden met her cousin, Arden, who came to visit in July.

some of Sweden's
Favorite Things
  • Being outside and feeling the warm Summer air.
  • Being held. She'll stop crying even before you pick her up, just seeing you assures her that you've come to rescue her from being alone or not held.
  • Sleeping next to mommy and daddy in their bed sometimes.
  • Warm baths or showering with mommy.

some of Sweden's
Not so Favorite Things
  • Riding in the car seat.
  • A binky.
  • When Sweden was just two weeks old we took her to the ER for an eye infection. Her eye swelled up and if you tried to lift her eyelid puss would come out and she would scream. It was hard for mom and dad to see her in pain and not know what to do. Once she was at the hospital they took care of her with iv antibiotics and mama held her all day, everyday. It was absolutely no fun being poked, wearing an IV and having them open her infected eye. One Pediatric Ophthalmologist opened her eye with a paper clip because her tools were too large for such a tiny baby. Thankfully, Sweden healed quickly and was released from the hospital after 48 hours. Her eye looks perfectly normal again and she is back to her happy self.

This picture was taken in the ER.

Sweden came home from the hospital and was greeted by her Nana and PopPop

June 24th. Her first pool day.

Happy Fourth of July!

Fox!

 Numero Uno!

This picture was taken in January- Fox was just trying out Finn's car seat and loved it, of course. It didn't become his chair until April though.

Hello, silly!

Fox loves the tiny town at the Doseum. He loves to drive around the cars, work at the vet and play in the grocery store bakery.
Hello, there cute bum bum! Fox loves to put on Finn's rain boots that are too big for him. He also loves being nakey.

Fox can reach the gas pedal now... so he and Finn can fight over who drives.

Fox loves to read, especially when it is about animals.

On June 30th Fox turned TWO!
We kept it simple like we always do for the 2 year birthday and had close friends over for cake and ice cream.
