Fox at Five Months

November 30, 2015
5 months old

Milestones
recording all the firsts
  • Fox rolls over and over again until he gets where he wants to go. Sometimes we find him at the opposite end of the room or halfway under the couch. One time all the rolling wore him out so much that he fell asleep on his play mat.
  • Fox smiles more and more each day. Everyone comments on how smiley and "chill" he is.
  • Fox celebrated his 1st Thanksgiving. Our family ate out for Thanksgiving dinner, at Texas de Brazil, One of our waiters stopped and asked how old he was and raved about how cute he is. He gets compliments like that ALL THE TIME. :)
  • Fox ate solid food for the first time. We fed him oatmeal and he was interested but not very good at eating it the first time but the second time he was a little pro.

some of Fox's
Favorite Things
  • Being out and about. He loves people watching and smiles at everyone!
  • Diaper changes.
  • When mommy plays "patty cake" with him and sings to him and his brother at bedtime.

It's fall y'all!

For halloween this year Fox was a baby baseball and Finn was a Thai boxer. The plan was for Finn to be a baseball player but the jersey I ordered for him never arrived in the mail. I had to scramble last minute to put a costume together for him. Luckily, I remembered the boxing shorts we purchased in Thailand and it was hot outside enough that he could go shirtless. Ben and I threw on some costumes at the last minute before the church trunk or treat.  We kept up the tradition of making homemade root beer out of the trunk of our car. We need to come up with a recipe because each year we make our own concoction and don't remember what we did the year before.

Ben's brother Marshall came to town for work and visited with us for a couple of days. We took him to our favorite taco joint-Torchy's and to the Riverwalk.

We spent Thanksgiving with Dawn and the Fosters and a couple of the Fosters friends from Optometry school. We chose the easy/fun/best route and ate out for our Thanksgiving feast. This year: Texas de Brazil.
