SAN DIEGO
In early October we took a trip to San Diego where we stayed at the Lawrence Welk resort with Ben's family. It was one of our favorite reunions… who doesn't love a week at the beach!?

The theme for this reunion was “Our
Family is Our Treasure.” We each took turns planning a devotional
and serving up a dinner where we did our best to center it around the
theme. The kiddo's had a treasure hunt on the beach, and we all
returned home with a treasure chest Christmas ornament. I love how
Syd chooses a theme for each reunion because it makes it all the more
memorable and meaningful.

Ben created a pirate themed "Don't Eat Pete."
We visited the gorgeous San Diego
Temple.
We visited the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center. It was such an entertaining experience, one that both kids and adults can enjoy.

We had a girls day out, spent at a
lovely spa, where we lounged by the pool, soaked in the hot tubs, received massages and had fun in the mud baths.
The guys spent their day out playing
golf, riding motorized bicycles and eating bbq.
