Grandparents (and Santa Claus) are coming to town!

Grandpa and Grandma Capson came for a two week visit in early December. It was so nice for them to meet Fox, to see Finn again, and to enjoy the Holiday festivities with us.

My dad is an expert carpenter and so we enlisted his help in building a deck off the back of our house (pics will be included in a separate post). It took him and Ben the entire two weeks but it turned out wonderful and we couldn't be more grateful to him for his hard work and talent he offered us while he was here! While the guys were working my mom was helping me tend the kids and finish up Christmas preparations. While the guys weren't working we had some fun together.

On our way home from picking them up front the airport they were greeted by this beautiful Texas sunset. While here the sun shined and the weather was perfect (unlike their last visit when the weather was freezing and rainy).

We loved the Texas Transportation Museum-- the train ride, meeting Santa, walking through decorated old sleeper trains, the miniature train exhibits and more!

We visited the Alamo and Riverwalk and took the boat ride… it is especially nice at Christmas time because it is all lit up.

My mom and I took the boys to the kids Holiday party at the Brook Hollow Library.  Finn loves "cake!

Fox loves his sweet Grandma, who held him, played with him, and sang to him the entire two weeks. He definitely missed her when she left!

We had a wonderful visit with my parents and are so grateful for family and having them near us during the Holiday Season.

Pictures of the deck that dad and Ben worked so hard on...
